I found my car a while back too, but I am not in it.
I came across this shot on Google Street View and was surprised to see a familiar face!
I do NOT like Street View... gives me the creeps. That's got to be some sort of privacy issue![]()

That's cool! Don't tell Billy though. It's obviously a violation of Bo's civil liberties!
BTW, What are you doing? Searching Street View for Miatas? I doubt I'll catch mine. It wasn't parked at FedEx and is garaged otherwise.
Titus stalking Bo. Be scared Bo, be very scared.

My house isn't a public place... and not everyone who can see you on the internet is going to be driving by your house in real life. 30 cars per day versus millions of photographs readily available online... it's a big difference. It's cool for about 5 minutes... then you think about how creepy it is for people to be driving by taking pictures of houses.
Things like this are only the start

You guys have any idea what that all that crap is on the street view camera vehicle?
Congrats Bo on being immortalized on Google! Nice pic!
These street views are quite amazing yet show nothing in an invasion of privacy. When you leave your house and go to the grocery store a couple of miles away you are photographed or videotaped at least three or four times before ever stepping into the store. All Google is doing is making that more aware (and available) to the public. The latter seems to be what bothers people most and is understandable.
It's unnerving enough that Dallas county tax assessors website stopped publishing curb-side photos of houses about a year ago. So, we may see laws passed to prevent Google, Zillow, and others from doing the same. In the meantime, remember that there are many camera paths you cross daily anyway and if you truly want privacy then don't drive a convertible with the top down!
PS. I've seen one of these "mapping" vehicles with cameras and lights (not sure what good the lights would be) on top. It was a minivan and looked quite strange. Had what looked like a luggage rack with eight cameras on top and lights between. Not sure what the vehicle is in this picture but it doesn't look like a minivan.
And yet they could, to scope out good areas before actually going there
I don't have people driving by and taking pictures of my house on a daily basis. Yet, now millions of people have access to pictures of it. It has details that you wouldn't get driving by at the speed limit.
I do NOT like it, and any time I see one of those vehicles they're going to get an earful (and probably a few flat tires).

Interesting, I looked up my house only to find it NOT THERE! My neighbors homes on each side are there, and my mailbox is visible, but the rest of the house looks like it's been airbrushed out.
Guess my anti-google foil in the windows really works!

Another cool one is the Birdseye view of Virtual Earth. I have been using it to look at houses we are interested in. You can see aeriel photos from 4 different angles.
