Try Craigslist's "Free" section or Freecycle works well too.
I got a collection of old CRT monitors and a couple of dead TV's here at the world headquarters.
I'd rather not bounce them in the dumpster behind the building. Do you kids know of a place that would take these things off my hands, preferably for free.
TIA

Call BCD Electro (electronic recyclers, http://www.bcdelectro.com/)and they will pick up your stuff for a nominal fee. Steve Middlebrook (214-630-429is the contact. I just used these guys for an old copier, crt monitors, and some old IT equipment. I think I paid $80.

When we used to have office and warehouse in the freight areas at DFW, one of our favorite jokes to play went something like this.
Take a carton labeled as such that screams high dollar item inside (computers, electronics, etc)
Use said carton for collecting office trash, emptied ashtrays, chicken bones, etc...
When full, tape carton up and set by the curb to appear to have fallen out of someone's truck.
Have a big laugh at the next guy who stops, jumps out, grabs the "loot" and drives away.
Unless you are worried of liability I posted a bunch of ratty patio furniture that was on our back porch when we moved in.
One Saturday morning I took unflattering pictures... posetd it on Craigslist free section and within a few hours a guy showed up and took it away.
He just needed extra seating for a pool party they were having that day... that or extra seating for a murder bloodletting ceremony.
Either way it was gone... I got 5 e-mails in about 1 hour.
This guy could spell and had a non-jicky e-mail address.
Meh, some of you had some good thoughts others of you are fools!
I don't really want to post this up somewhere and deal with it, I just want to have someone get this junk out of my building.
So far the dumpster plan is winning!![]()
Set it out by the dumpster. Bet it will be gone by morning.
Here at the world Headquarters in beautiful Euless my next door neighbor is in 24-7 so the looter traffic isn't all that great.
But they did catch a guy a few weeks back trying to "fix" my outside A/C unit at 4:30am.
I found a couple of Recycle guys on craigslist; the one that uses the phrase "no charge" will get all my stuff.![]()
At my old place, I set a broken TV on the curb with a crappy TV stand and sign that said "THIS WORKS HALF-ASS, BUT IT'S FREE"
It was gone in 27 minutes (I timed it).

I was told there was a City of Irving computer recycling drop off point on Las Colinas Blvd, just east of Macarthur.
