Did you grease the bushings? A marine grease works well. Make sure you apply a generous amount.

Mine does that every once in a while since I changed it to the stiffest setting, not sure if the endlinks are binding up at full lock or something. Also make sure you torque the endlinks down when the car is on the ground or you might get some preload.

its a 2001. My bars are set to the stiffest in the back, and thats where its popping from. I'm going to mess with them now. Gonna regrease and change to a mild setting.

Yeah... here's a tip from someone who's been down this road... and, yes, I did hear you say the noise is in the rear of the car. So was mine. Even the corner workers at the autocross thought so.

Take your 17mm box end wrench - the one with the long handle.

Climb under the front of your car (use stands or ramps as necessary - never crawl under a car on a jack).

Put the wrench on the alignment bolts/nuts on the lower control arm. If you can tighten them, you've found your problem. You'll *probably* need an alignment because you'll *definitely* need some new alignment bolts. Long history of the 01+ cars coming with some marginal quality bolts and the threads stretching.

Did you add the collars to the front bar? If ya notice when ya pulled your OEM front bar there were two collars in place to keep the bar from shifting.

    Good reference :

Place them around the bar, inboard of the mounting brackets. Once you've got the bar centered and you've tightenend the mounting brackets, slide one collar over to the inside edge of each bracket and tighten them down. This will locate the bar laterally (you'll notice the OEM bar has rubber bushings that serve this function), and keep it from "walking" to one side or the other, which may in turn prevent you from breaking the OEM swaybar mounts.
Also you need to make sure the bars are not binding.

TC also may be on to something with the alignment bolts!

With grease seeping out the sides, bolts torqued on the ground, bar on medium setting and alignment bolts were snug...I'm still popping.

I did not put the shaft collars on front or back. Wonder if the popping is from the bar going side to side then? That is my next move.

I appreciate all the help. I'll report back.

Before I add the collars to the front bar I had the popping issue too. However, it only happened during AX under high stress situation and never on the street.

It's fixed! Drove it all day today after putting shaft collars on, and the sways aren't popping one bit. Elliot's Hardware rocks.

    Thanks for the help guys
