That's the problem with cars like this. Unless you can find a cash buyer you're out of luck, because the banks won't finance the difference between what a well modified car and a stock car are worth.

You'll probably run into the same problem next month when you go to sell the Ultralite.

9 grand now and $250 a month for 2 years is better then having it cost you money each month for storage and insurance.

Actually, you can quite easy. Capital One Auto Finance has gotten me 3 loans so far on "for sale by owner" cars. It's a person to person loan, and they could care less what the kbb value is vs. what you're paying for it.

Granted, you're not going to get new car 3.99% financing, but they'll loan you the money with good terms.

The problem with owner finance is that if the new owner crash the car in 2 months, good luck in seeing any $ come every month! They just laugh at you if you even try to go to court to collect the $$$!

Folks this a super car. (I think they have improved it from when I owned it and it was killer then.) For a combo street / track car it is a monster. I would be all over it again, but I just don't get on the track other then in the ITA Miata. I'm looking for a 99 or older with or without turbo /SC. I am just looking for something between this and total stock, (although I may end up buying and adding.) for a little oomph on the street.

There are several online sites that will manage a person to person loan, providing billing, credit reporting, and collections if necessary.

Did you try the pointy board yet? eBay might work.
I'd also post up on Clubroadster, some drifter's might want it.
Or at Miataturbo.net would also be good places.
