Was the cap on straight? If it's on a little crooked it might have sloshed out during hard cornering. We had that problem on the S2000 with the clutch reservior.
The Black Miata leaked brake fluid around the master cylinder at the last PCA event.
Have pumped the brakes a ton trying to get it to leak since and haven't seen any sign of a leak......
Plan to put the pressure cap on it tonight for an extended period to see if I figure anything out.
Can't figure out why it leaked any thoughts or suggestions? (and yes the cap was on the master cylinder)

My power steering fluid over-flowed at the last Hallett event. I thought it was the O-ring but it seemed soft. I've heard of old PS fluid frothing at the track. I think I'll just flush it out before I hit the track again.
On your issue, I'd think bad cap or incorrectly installed cap.
The 93 had a small leak at the black rubber seals. Town North got them for me for ~$4. Took 30 minutes to replace them. Leak was gone.
