Nice Cayman, has it been to the track?
Well the cheese -- as in Cheesecake -- is in the driver's seat, and lederhosen haven't touched it... yet.
I was actually trying to buy a BMW 135i or 328/335i coupe, but couldn't find one with manual transmission and only the sport package (everything was either automatic or a fully-load heffer). Then I ran across a used 911 in the paper and went down to look. I didn't like the 911, but my wife saw that Cayman sitting there and she loved it! It was a new, but leftover, 2007, and I got a great deal because:
Anyway, since POS Racing is my hero, I decided to join the black-on-black car club with him and bought it
- it's black-on-black (too hot for Texas!), and
- it had no options other than heated seats (apparently most Porsche buyers want lots-o-options).
.
I'm still in the "breaking in" period, so I won't be AXing it until later in the season. But I definitely plan to run an event or two. And I will be taking it out to the track if/when I can. It's a lowly 2.7 (non S), but I'm loving it anyway. It actually reminds me of the Miata... well, a Miata on steroids. But I'm guessing it won't be the car to have in AStock...![]()

Congrats on the "porch", Cheesecake!
I'm sure you're going to love it!
