Have you checked your radiator fluid? That's where the oil from my Honda was winding up. Turned it a brownish color.
My 1993 with 73K has been a quart low twice now. Especially after hard drives and track days. It has been Mobil 1 since new according to the previous owner. I continued Mobil 1 10-30 when I got it. I change the I don't drive it much, maybe 4k miles per year. No HLA tick, no drips, no smoke. Runs strong and clean, no problems passing emissions.
Also where was the Mobil 1 5 qt big jug bargain. Sam's or Walmart?

what was done to the motor , fi? That might do it, also was it broken in with synth or with dino ( a gov report stated that cars that wre broken in with synth may have problems with rings sealing propely at 75-100k ) And no please don't ask for the link it is one of 150 things i read all day long at work.

Are you sure it's not leaking? Are you changing the oil or ar you having it changed??
Have you put a PCV valve in it lately?
Maybe the yahoos at Jiffy lube have been shorting me? I will try it myself this time and check. The more I think about it the more that sounds likely.
Well, you can narrow it down via a check list....
1. Check oil immediately after changing
2. PCV valve
3. leaks (check under the CAS, valve cover, spark plug wells, and the bottom of the motor at the front and back)
4. Plugs (any oil fouling?)
5. Compression & leakdown test
On my 92 it was #2 and 3 causing the oil loss.

Lightness? What's that? I drive a PRHT!
It's not that uncommon to need oil after track days. You are putting the engine into the extreme zone regarding heat, RPM, vacuum, etc. On the Mustang Cobra we would use about 1 quart per day. No oil loss from normal driving, only track driving. On the spec maitas we run about a quart per race.
Synthetic is definiately the way to go for track days.
Just add a little and be done with it.

dino oil burns at 430 dg f , synthetics burns at 750 deg f ,which is where your oil may be going, sythetic oil would solve that problem.
Dino is about 4x the size of a synthetic oil particle and sythetic is about 3x better at "oil soak in " great for start up protection,
Linkite which was used in the aerospace industry for years in turbo prop planes was an oil additive( if you look around a hanger Its the big bright blue can w/ orange letters) that reduced metal to metal wear on start up before synthetic came on the market but at first was too expensive ( sythetic oils)to be used by the general public, but as science advanced ( and the patent on the process was bought) it became more and more common and then available to the general public.
Linkite has been used less and less but some older (and those who work with them) pilots and those that maintain such " antiquated equipment" still use linkite and love it as I do, nothing wrong with synthetic, (I use it myself) but the addition of linkite has been proven to make cars, planes and equipment last longer and work better, and linkite in its pure form is not available to the general public but go to any air field and its pretty cheap considering the benifits.
