Congrats! I went with the chrome door myself. Haven't seen one in black yet.

I looked further into those Explicits by Falken and found they are not under 18 pounds. I forget off the top of my head what site I found them on but they weighed closer to 20 pounds maybe 21 depending on 17 or 18 inch sized. I'll post a link if I can find that site.

    Default Whoa!

Wow, those Falkens were heavier than I remembered.

    Check 'em out at 1010tires.com

WoW, Edge racing has them at 16.7lbs for 17's!

That's a deal breaker if they are 20lbs.

i do know that the chrome ones weigh more, were you looking at the Chrome? or the Black?

Both. Wanted chrome first but not if extra weight. Until I find something cheaper or used, my best choice is the Enkei RPO3 in SBC 17x8 but I really wish they made em in 16x8. They're near 400 bucks a pop though, so I sit tight with my 16x6.5 stock 5 spokes for now.

I am not convinced that 1010 has them at the right weight, i am going to do some more research

Yea we talked about this earlier Billy. Get one rim from edge with their written money back guarantee on the weight. If they're right they've made two sales. But you get what you pay for. So I think 1010 is more accurate, especially since edge claims same weight; silver, black, and chrome.

I sent them a letter, I did go to the Falken site and they even say 25lbs.
Went back to edge and noticed they had changed the weight on the chrome to 16.9.
I went through the same thing with my Orange Konigs, couldn't find a the real weight anywhere.
But the konigs, and my old Falkens were very very light.

Just got a letter back from Edgeracing.com they said they weigh their wheels when they come in, and said they weigh right at 17lbs.

i know i ordered my Falken Hannaubi's through them and it was the same exact thing, when they came in I weighed them and Edge was right on the money.

I will probably order these real soon as they are on sale with edge's wheels gone wild sale.

The gloss black ones are at 17? They say what the chrome weighed?

Nails, I didnt ask about the chrome but I noticed they have silver too now which probably weighs the same as the black since they are both painted.

Thanks for the heads up Walsted, I always use a pre-pay card on orders that i cant buy with cash so let the hackers try and steal from my card...lol

Thanks Billy. Let me know if you find anything else out or if you get those wheels.

Scary what Walsted linked to on miata.net. I just finished readiing that whole thread and it looks as if Edge really screwed up storing customers' CC info in a database accessible via internet. I wonder if this is going to kill their company?
