I'm picking it up either tonight or tomorrow... my old roommate is coming by to play some Call of Duty today, and I knew he'd hog the 360 if I had GTA4 right now

I got it last night. It is very fun so far. The car physics are much improved.

The TV is fun to watch... The Pibmiester Beer commercial and the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous type show (sort of like cribs) had a Paris Hiltonesque girl.

My wife and I were actually enjoying watching it... the beer commercial had us rolling.

Boy... I felt like a total idiot last night (what's new?).

I went to Gamestop to buy GTA, but they were closed (I went at 10pm, I forgot they closed at 9pm). Well, I went home depressed and stated playing COD4. My brother came in a half hour later and asked how GTA was and I said "Well, I forgot Gamestop closed at 9, blah blah blah" and he looked at me funny and said "....why didn't you just go to Wal Mart?".

I busted out laughing. I had never even thought about it

I picked it up and played about 3 hours last night... the car physics are improved (dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing), and the graphics are nice. My only annoyance is how easy it is to get a high wanted level... I bumped a cop and they started shooting at me, and another time I did it they ignored me.

Then I went out on the airport runway and I got an instant 6-star level Same thing happened when I tried to cross the bridge.

Yeah it is present day. The bridge is blocked off because of a terrorist act. It opens up later on in the game and allows you to go to the main island.
