Actually it is a really nice one. The first person to see it tonight (after I had to put in the new radiator yesterday ) is buying it, picking it up tomorrow .

Now I get to concentrate on my '93 LE...

Good luck with your searches. You will find one eventually.

Bought mine last April off of Ebay but I did go and look at it and test drove it before making the deal. Told him what I would pay and he agreed, so I placed my bid and he closed the auction early. Don't be afraid to use Ebay as a listing service but narrow the search to a distance you are willing to drive and check out the car in person. My two cents.

As an example, this is one I would take the time to look at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...em200232153752&

I looked at that one....with bodyshop access it could be a deal, but I really want a NA.... I seriously want the pop up headlight. I prefer the look.

Something doesn't add up, the ad claims it's a 93 and a Limited edition but that it has tan interior. It's probably a C package or something else.

Care to elaborate? 93 didn't come in Tan, or LE doesn't come in Tan...

Thanks for posting that Creek... I called the number, but a lady answered and said i must have the wrong number .

How did you find that Creek? I've been googling, yahoooing, autotradering, craigslisting, cars.coming it...... along with about a half dozen other places...

In 1990, leather interior was not available. In 1991, the BRG special edition car was the only one with leather. In 1992, there was an SE that was black with tan leather and BBS wheels. To confuse things, they also added a "C Package" that included leather to the lineup. It was only available in black with tan leather, so it was often confused with the 1992 SE although it did not have BBS wheels. When 1993 rolled around, there was the LE, which was black with red leather interior and BBS wheels. They continued to offer the C Package only in black and tan. That is what the car listed above is. In 1994, the C package was expanded to other colors.

Not that big a secret: AOL has a search engine that pulls up obscure online advertisers like the one you saw and the Dallas Observer and other free papers. http://autos.aol.com/

I've used that search engine.... I'm almost positive.... either way, i appreciate it!

As for free papers, i should go grab a thrifty nickle, greensheet....

I think i may drive to the bario dealerships next week and cruise around.

Just FYI, I bought my Miata off eBay and got a hell of a deal, IMHO. I talked to the seller, got a good feel for the car, and got his word that if the car was crap I wouldn't have to take it home. Yes, there was some risk, but I felt like this guy was golden - and he was. I was a last-second bidder and won the car at the price I was gunning for!

It was a LOT better deal than anything I found here in Dallas... but that was before I knew about DFWMiata.com...

Anyhow, before you buy, ask around here and see if anyone has anything good for sale. If not, see if anyone can check your potential prize out for you...

    We're generally happy to oblige...

    Good luck!

Y'all are a nice bunch. In fact, you already helped me out. You ran a carfax for me on the first miata I wanted-- the white autotrader one that was there when I called, but not when i got there the next afternoon.

Which brings up another point: If you find one that looks/sounds promising - do not pass GO, do not collect $200 - go check it out. Even that may not be enough.

Before I bought my car, I had 2 NAs that were bought out from under me between telling the seller "I'm on my way to see it" and arriving on the other side of the Metromess.

I know, I have a 93LE myself. I was saying it's probably not a limited edition but a c package or something else.
