Default Tire choice for lowered NC

    Hi all...

I am about to replace the Michelin Pilot's that came on my '07 NC, PRHT. My previous great experience with the Toyo T1S leads me toward the Toyo T1R's.

I have lowered the NC with an Eibach Pro Kit, and Tokico adjustables, for a total of a little more than 1.75" drop. I can't have it any lower... drag too much as it is.

My question is whether the T1R, with the softer sidewall, will lower the car any more?

Other suggestions for a comparable tire? UTOG 280 with AA A ratings...

    Thanks

    What size?

Stock is 205/45-17, right? Tire Rack has the Exsta SPT in a 215/45-17 that would work fine for $96 each. I'm on my second set of SPTs, and I've been quite pleased with them.

    Oops... yes, 205/45-17's.

Does the SPT have a AA traction rating?

    Sure do

I like the Falken Ziex 912 better... Enough grip in the cold & wet to save your ass, but they still have great road feel (and that AA traction rating you crave). I actually have the 512's on the Miata at the moment, but they're not Z rated, and you have a lead foot!

    Edit:

Good grief! And at $77 per tire, hard to pass up in the 215-45/17 size that will give you another .1 inch off the ground...

    Thanks...

I've also heard some good things about the Falken FK452, know anything about these?

Bill I just won some eibachs pro kit off ebay last nite and may have em on my car by this weekend if you wanna check it out and compare to yours. I dont have tokicos though just stayin with stock springs for now cause I may do coilovers later. Anyway I just put on Toyo T1R's 235/40/17 and like 'em alot.
PM me if ya wanna get together.
