    TC you need to give your toaster an IP address.

    Toaster is actually broken. New Panasonic infrared model is on the way, though. I understand pets are particularly fond of them. My Border Collie barks when my popcorn is done... Maybe she'll keep an eye on my toast!

    Does having a LAN in my VW count for anything? Or do I have to get the 802.11 enabled mp3 player installed so that my car has an IP address when it pulls in to the garage?

    Also... I do assume there are significant bonus points since I'm posting this from the car (while stopped at a light, of course...)

    Is that toaster computer controlled?

    We need a toaster that will put pictures on toast anytime you want.

    Just have to be careful to not flood the grilled cheese marketplace with too many Virgin Marys.

    Not unless you're doing 80 down the highway.

    OK... so now we have to add this to the list of Things People Do While Driving That Bugs the Heck Out of Me™

    * Surfing the Web
    * Reading
    * Applying Makup
    * Talking on Cell Phones
    * Changing clothes (yeah, I've seen it)

    (feel free to add your own to this list)

    back to the subject, (sort of)...
    how do you like the lindows box? is it worth the $200?

    I'm thinking of getting one of these for the wifey for her own system to fart around with.

    I went into Fry's in Austin tonight, and it I couldn't find a linspire box for less than $280

    It is a good box, the cpu fan is a little loud, so I swapped out the heatsink/fan for a quieter version and I put that bad boy on incorrectly.....

    Did you know that you can smoke an athlon processor? I have a new Athlon on the way (always looking for the opportunity to upgrade), so I bought a Athlon 2500+ xp mobile processor. I got the mobile one in case I decide to try and overclock, these are supposed to be the best.

    Overall, Good. They will throw either the GQ3101 or GQ3111 on sale. Try outpost.com
