Found anohter road I want to take the Miata on. US 50 between Pueblo and Salida Co.

While you're in the neighborhood, take US550 from Silverton to Ouray, the Million Dollar Highway. Simply gorgeous. Look it up on Google Earth and you'll see why.

We went to Silverton one year with a truck load of dirt bikes and road all the mule and jeep trails to Ouray and Telluride. I love to go during bow hunting season. The aspens are gold and the tourists are done for the year and no one is shooting at everything that moves. You can stay is Silverton for less than $100 per night. Favorite high speed road is US 160 from South Fork to Pagosa Springs (Wolf Creek Pass). 10 miles of 6% grade in each direction, switch backs and tunnel. At 10,000 feet you need all the downhill help you can get. FI might be a blast. Good brake pads are lifesavers on this road.

The Jeep is the whole reason I am out here. I pulled it on my gooseneck trailer through those twisty turnies. I really need to get an exhaust brake for the RAM before I come back here.
