I heard a dirty rumor a couple years ago that JD Powers awards were bought.

Wiki says they are supposedly unbiased though.

But, what's the real prestige behind one of these awards?

No matter what, I wouldn't hold it in a high of regard as Consumer Reports.

Funny, but I like my pre-pubescent NA with chassis and suspension tweaks. It's always super stiff.

Nod to reliability: My car runs well for having 183,xxx miles.
    1994 R-package - gone, but not forgotten.
