SO you are the reason it's raining today. Did rubbing it all day make you feel that it was less gay? Looks good. How are the headers holding up? Can you feel any power gain?
Well decided to work on the car again today. Decided to try make the iffy paint job the prior owner *invested* in shine.
I think I succeeded.
(Just need the sun to come back out for some pics...)
Washed her thoroughly with Meguire's NTX soap. Dried her with a real leather chamois. Used a claybar over the whole car. (Lord a lot of crud came up) Then used the Meguire's 3 stage system.... Paint cleaner, Polish, and the gold Class Wax. Used to have some S100 wax but it seems to have disappeared. Not sure where it might be.
Also managed to re-rig the washer nozzles. Actually having tubes that have integrity helped... the original ones were practically disintegrating in spots.

Hehe... yeah, I rubbed it ALL day long.
I was amazed at how much crap came up with the claybar. The shine was pretty nice.... it even looks clean in the rain.
As for the headers, still doing well 500+ miles so far. There is a power gain, but I think most of that is from not having a giant leak in the exhaust manifold, and having adjusted the throttle cable.
I need to make it to a meet to show you. Wanted to come last week but the girl boycotted it. This wed. I'll be at the lake..... Mebe the week after.
On the washer nozzles, did you run all new tubing with plastic tees? I half-ass fixed mine a while back but the tubing's still a little gimpy.

I re-used the tees.... only because I forgot to get new ones somehow. The Y tee was half crumbling, but I *saved it* by wrapping it in teflon tape and a bit of heat tubing. I'll replace it when I remember, lol. I did however use all new tubing. And i soaked the nozzles in Simple Green overnight.. nice strong streams now. Next plan is to install some fluidic nozzles.
