No Restrictions, but everyone lives here, so its quiet at night.
We have an occasional night flight for Freedom Flight, and Care Flight has used us at night too.
Runway Lights/Beacon are activated by radio.
Aero-Country has problems with the Gated Community that built up right to the east. I'm sure we will be addressing the same with Avery Ranch.
Propwash has been here since 1982.
Do yall have a radio activated bird-bath?

If I lived alone and wanted to live in a neighborhood, I'd DEFINITELY want a HOA in place.
If I lived in the country.... screw that.
I can deal with either.

.... no Miata
I guess it's a good thing I moved into my own place when I turned 19 and got my 1986 MR2. I'm sure that would not be acceptable parked out front of my parent's house all the time. Of course parking in the street is technically not allowed by their HOA, I just like to LIVE ON THE EDGE! hahahahha

being nice as to not get this moved.
This is why I want to live far away from people in the county, I dont want to tell anyone what to do with their property and dont want them to tell me what to do with mine.
If you disagree with what the HOA's are doing get a place far away from people, with land and no restrictions on building or anything else for that matter.
However you will never really own it as there is a yearly rent to be paid, so will have to answer to someone.

I'm pleased to say that I am doing just fine without a HOA. I know most of my neighbors and we all try to be respectful of each other. The barking dog neighbor is the exception. It's time for a block party.
In some cases, while there's no HOA violation of rules, you can get cited by the city for a violation of state and/or city code. HOA's are just another policing unit you have to pay monthly or annual dues to. I realize for condos or townhomes they provide insurance, lawn services, etc....but mostly pretension comes to mind in single family homes.
IMHO HOA's powers should be limited to paying for and maintaining any community amenities the developer built into the neighborhood.
If your neighbors grass is too long, roof falling in, paint too old, dog too loud, car parked in front for more than 48 hours, car blocking mail box....talk to your neighbor or call the city.
You're already paying for those services with your annual property taxes.
Of course if you live in a rural community that lacks city services - then I could possibly see the need for a HOA. Or if you live in Dallas. ((smirk))
All I want is the ability to work on my car.
