Thread: Funnel for adding transmission lube?

Default Funnel for adding transmission lube?

Any thoughts on what to use to replace the lube in the transmission? Last time I did this in a car, I had access to pump contraption that rolled around on the floor. I'm thinking a long funnel? Maybe with a piece of hose?

THIS FROM HARBOR FREIGHT works well... Autozone also has a variant of it as well. Then you can do it by yourself.

I have/had one of these from my old boat ownership days, that screws into the oil container and you can do the entire process from under the car.

But I couldn't find the damn thing last weekend!

Mmmmm... Funnel Cake. They were selling Funnel Cake at a concert I was at last weekend. I was going to get one but Funnel Cake always seems to contribute to my dickiedoo syndrome.

I just use some cheap plastic tubing and do it from inside the car. The tubing goes right down beside the shift turrent and into the hole in the side of the transmission.

I've used these over the years. Works great for dif and Tranny. One of the local auto stores should have them.
