Thread: Flooring guy?

  1. #1

    Default Flooring guy?

Anyone have a good person/company they have used for flooring?

I am looking at having Laminate laid in about 6 rooms and Marble in one room.

I have done 3 rooms in my house thus far and I think I am ready to pay someone for the rest.

hehe... flooring sucks... retiled the kitchen.

Sure, I saved a bundle, but I was sore and deaf for a week.

Yeah I am sick of using "vacation" days to do projects.

Projects that never seem to get done.

amen. Been in the new condo for 2 years now... spent the better part of tonight fixing a couple cracks that had appeared. Somehow the sprinkler system was disabled early this summer and the earth dried and shrunk like crazy at the front, but not at the back where the creek is. The sprinklers were finally turned on, and we had rains, so the foundation re-settled, closing the cracks mainly, but I still have to patch them... ARGH

I'm buying a house tomorrow with no flooring in it.

I think I'm going to attempt the stained concrete on the first floor.

Nice... Most of our floors are on the second floor and pier and beam so that is not an option.

Nails and I did my entire house - mostly HIM so I didn't have to take time off work. He did a GREAT job. The laminate was the easy part...pulling up and salvaging the molding was the real XXXXX - sanding it and painting it!

I think I still have a membership on Angie's List - that is a pretty good resource for finding someone to do that kind of work. We found a really good plumber from them.
