Mark52's car was great! As Ferris Bueller says, "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up." Thank you very much for letting me co-drive the event, Mark.

I had a lot of fun, but I always thought my first 4 wheel off would be at a track day. . .

Not me!
I would like to know how fast I was going in the back stretch just as you crest the rise, I know it was just fast enought to scare me!
It was a fun day! I do enjoy the road course, but the Nascar wannabee kids gave me a pounding headache with their loud ass cars!![]()
In Mark52's car, which has shorter gearing because of the wheels, I was shifting to third in the space between the two slaloms on the front stretch and then leaving it in third the rest of the course with no lack of RPM/power. It was a fast course.
BTW, Mr. 2nd-to-5th-Shift-Mark admitted hitting 5th instead of third, but because of the NASCARs, we could not hear it, as we usually do.

Welcome to my world! That's exactly how it flowed for me too. In the 2nd heat, I watched a certain MR2 hit the rev limiter in 2nd, right at the end of that 2nd slalom. I thought we had similar gearing but since he was on R-comps I assumed I would be slower at that point.
The pucker point in the back stretch was right at the limiter in 3rd so that's 72 mph!![]()

Great event, great weather, but we had all sorts of things go wrong on our cars. First Amy's E30 sprung a coolant leak while waiting in line to sign the 47 waivers at the front gate. A quick run to AutoZone and 20 minutes later it was back in business. Then the brake system problem that plagued our XP car at Nationals reared its ugly head again - I thought I had fixed it. Nope. So I tip toed around the course barely breathing on the brakes - I think I managed a 52.0 but I didn't verify cones. That was with it losing fuel pressure badly, too. By my 4th run the fuel pump was officially dying so I had to abort the run.
A long day, and a longer list of repairs, but still a great event!

My fourth and fastest run is missing from the results. Doesn't matter anyway I Electroluxed all day. Found out later I had a drywall screw in my RR tire and was loosing air bigtime.
