Default hallett crew; is your stomach screwed up?

I had to visit a couple truck stops on the way home...and by couple I mean "4". I wonder if the BBQ did it to me?

Anyways, I'm going to get back to lying in bed with DT's.

Yeah, I think something was askew at "Rib Crib".

A weekend of track food topped with the Rib Crib and a bunch of shitty Oklahoma beer will work magic on your colon - but I think I worked all of it out this morning.

I'm effing tired and sunburned... that's for sure. But good times!

It was the Oklahoma beer I guess. My dad and I are fine. I thought the BBQ was great and didn't stop one time on the way home.

For me the 99/377 route was perfect. Less than 4.5 hours to get home!

No "truck stop" stops me. And, I was a little suspicious of the hamburger I had at the track.

Over all, I had a great weekend. Hallett is a real hoot.
On the track, I am fearless.

The bbq at the banquet didn't bother me - I ate plenty as the hamburger I got from the track for lunch looked, smelled and tasted "funny" so I didn't eat it. The fries were marginal. I was expecting something better after the hype about how good the food was. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I thought the food at the banquet was pretty good.

I hope you're feeling better tonight.

cArAzzIE & Nails... how was the drive back? Did y'all find your way down 48 all the way back to 75?

The burgers at the track were mushy. They weren't completely defrosted before being thrown on the grill. I saw many people not finish or throw away their burgers. Gail was spreading the word.

The grilled chicken sandwich is always good.

It was GREAT! A section of 48 ended up being closed and we had to detour but the scenery was nice, and there were a few curves and rolling hills along the way, traffic was mostly light to none.

I especially enjoyed sleeping in this morning!!

And for the record - I was up and in my car ready to go Friday morning BEFORE Nails ...and in my car ready to roll Saturday morning before BR! Nails left earlier Saturday than planned only to wait in line for the gate to open.

The drive from the "podunk" hotel was good too - a little foggy, but didn't take long at all to get to the track...and that's all I have to say about Keystone Motel...Saturday night at the Hampton Inn was GREAT except there was something in that room that set off my allergies...

We got in to Allen about 6:45 - just in time to see the hot air balloons floating across the horizon from the plano balloon festival...including a large dragon (balloon) floating on his back...

I really had a great time and I enjoyed visiting with everyone and meeting some new people.

My instructor (Chris) blew the engine in his spec Miata...so he drove my AE for the last EXPERIENCED heat and let me ride along...let me just say...

    THANK YU CHRIS!!!

I wish I could drive my car like that!!! We were close behind JR when he spun out after turn 1...I thought we might follow his lead! We didn't...and Chris showed me what my car was capable of!

I don't have the "movement" problem. I ate my share of the BBQ and burger/fries at the track. Actually, I was a little less than regular, because I did'nt drink enough water at the track. It must be the beer your guys were drinking.

Me and Trickrx was blasting our way down the 75. It was nice to finally meet all of you. We need to do this again next Spring.

I drank a good amount of beer and didn't have any problems other than a slight headach when I woke up...

    Careful you don't get dehydrated!!!

Yessir... we made damn good time back down to Dallas - without making a spectacle of ourselves! Apparently, Oklahoma might as well be the Autobahn of the mid/southwest USA...

    Good times...

And, YES, we need to do this next SPRING so we can get ready for next FALL! Keep us posted for the next event up there...
