I know they are speakers as I installed a set in a prior car. They have sets that will fit in a Miata that start under $100. I just don't understand what is wrong with putting them in a Miata.

My car sees about 99% duty as a daily driver and I want it to suit me for the majority of the time I drive it.
I'm very satisfied with my sound system. Where I draw the line though is someone like Catman on the pointy board who turns his nose up to anything but high-end expensive stuff as if the Miata is a good platform for a high quality sound stage.
So to paraphrase - anyone who thinks you should spend less on a Miata stereo just doesn't understand. And anyone who says you should spend more is an idiot?+1
