for those of you with back seats and heavy cameras, you can typically remove the LATCH anchor in the middle of the rear shelf and mount a bolt through it to mount your camera to.

Obviously this doesn't apply to Miatas.

And I wouldn't want a $$$ camera in or attached to my car where it could fall off. Cheap is better IMO just in case the worst happens. I posted a cheap camera on sale at best buy.

The camera was ready for pickup this morning so I went and got it. I mounted it to my visor, lol dumby me didn't put two and two together and realise it was upside down while shooting a little test video. I can tell you right now, from what I have already seen first hand it was worth every penny I spent which wasn't that many pennies. I tried to load the upside down video footage on photobucket so I could share it but well lets just say it was over there megabite limit so I will get out there and shoot another one, right side up so I can share it with you guys so you can see the quality this camera has to offer. I will update this later today with new footage of me driving around the block. I will also upload a little night footage once I get it tonight of our Christmas light show in the front yard so we can see how well it does for night time video footage.

    upload to youtube.

And you can turn video around with editing programs. (I think I'm going to mount my camera upside down this next season to have it a bit more out of the way).

ahhh ok see I don't have any editing programs so I just deleted those but here is one that I just finished recording. Excuse the vibration noise the mic is picking up it is cause I have it temporary mounted to the plastic piece that you lifet up when you drop down the top. I also turned on the cd player so you could hear how well the mic picks up stuff. I can say that I am highly impressed with this camera now after shooting 3 differant videos already with it.

what editing software do you use so I can mount it back on my sun visor again, I liked the footage from there much better and that would save me on having to buy a mounting bracket down the road if I could just keep mounting it there and just be able to flip it with some editing software.

Ok, I have found a free software that is so easy to use and will rotate the camera veiw from, 30 deg, all the way to 360 degrees. Here is the link for anyone who would need it if they might be mounting there camera the way I will be. This link will tell you what to do as well as giving you the link to the actual software I have downloaded and tested.

Hope this helps someone out as it has helped me.

Ok, here is a video after using the editing software with the camera on the sun visor, sorry so dark but it shows this camera wouldn't work that good for night racing unless you had lots of lights out there. LOL

I will try to get something over the weekend during the day time.

You won't be able to have it mounted on the visor unless you tether it (think shoestring to something solid). And if you push the car during an AutoX you'll likely fling the camera off the visor.

Maybe you can fabricate something with a bolt and the point where the visor mounts?
