Thread: NA front speakers?

  1. #1

    Default NA front speakers?

What is the current favorite for NA front speakers? I would like something that does not require modifications.

What did the GRM build blog that Andy Hollis wrote for his STS2 Miata say about speakers??

Doesn't your co-driver's tow vehicle have decent speakers?

Yeah, but he listens to weirdo East-side music. You know, the kind you would listen to while eating tapas and drinking mojitos. I'd rather listen to my own stuff while gnawing on a Slim Jim and enjoying a Shiner. Plus, he likes to sing along with the music to me. It's all very creepy.

Ya may want to read it, just having it in the glove box doesn't count.

as far as I know, what you see in the blog is what is there on the car

maybe a couple tweaks on alignment and the "at event" adjustment stuff is of course top secret

    looking forward to next year

I installed Kenwood KFC-1660S speakers from Crutchfield and am pleased with those. Had I known about Clearwater when I purchased these, I think I would have bought the Clearwater's for the door. I just ordered CWC-3D(Clearwater Headrest Speakers). At http://www.clearwateraudio.com/Clear...er_Online.html, they have a special for pre '99 door and headrest speakers. You might want to look at that.

I've always loved Boston Acoustic speakers. The ones in my car aren't even their top model and sound better than a lot of my friends' stereo's with more expensive gear in them. I've put several sets of Boston speakers in my different cars, love'em!

I have Polk Audio db650's (now replaced by db651's) They are pretty good for the money.

Edit: Also, they are certified for marine use which is good for a Miata!

I have a set of the infinity reference 6022si co-axial speakers installed. Direct fit, just drilled 3 holes. Sound is good too.

I love my BA's. Adding the sub really filled them out though.

Yes, my sub does okay but definitely jealous of your setup!
