Default Crack pipe or drifter's dream?

    Found this on CL's today:
    http://austin.craigslist.org/cto/960809880.html
Ae86 1985 toyota corolla gts, 20v, widebody, standalone ecu - $8000 (North Austin)

Yeah, it's got an ass-load of mods and looks pretty clean (except the red racing seat). I think this guy would be pretty lucky to get $4-5K (it is a ~23 year old car).

Thoughts? I know how big the drifter thing is, but seriously?

I think "widebody" is a generous term for a car that has bolt-on flares.

Otherwise - it's a very well done example. I think it could probably fetch somewhere in the ballpark of what they're asking if there aren't too many loose ends that are undone. The 20v silvertop is a great motor and the IRTB's are pretty sweet, too. If it's tuned properly it should be a screamer.

And, personally, I dig the flat black.

    Question

When did Minnesota become part of North Austin? Makes one wonder about Rust...

I like the flat black as well (says the guy driving a flat silver miata). Aren't the ITB's stock for the AE86 (I see it's got a stand alone)?
