I think the red one lives out my way. I have seen it several times in both Lavon and Wylie. I see Elises a lot more than Caymans, but it may just be that it is hard to walk or drive by a Lotus without noticing it. I would not be surprised to learn that I have "not noticed" more Caymans than Elises that I did notice. Does that make sense?

Although the brakes definitely work better at 5/10ths on street tires and smooth surfaces. Still, it's too bad a $40k+ boutique sports car can't have brakes as good as the average Japanese crapbox.

My RX-8 has had it's fair share of warranty issues, but I haven't had the interior problems that you have. Nor has Jon, and he's got 78k miles on his.

As for interior rattles on an Elise:

    1. There isn't much interior to rattle on an Elise to start with.
    2. It would be hard to hear any rattles over the resonances from the different aluminum extrusions.

The Elise icemode is a known problem, however it only happens in certain situations. But it's hard to imagine someone could win a National championship in SS and XP in one plowing through every cone wall everytime they tried to use the brakes, amazing!

BTW. Shouldn't you be saving up for an engagement ring?

Seriously how long do you figure you can charm her with your personality before she finally goes off and finds a nice guy!
She only has 1 car, not that it's any of your business. I bought the S2000 (as my daily driver after I sold the LE) from her when she picked up the Mini S. I actually only raced the S2000 1-2 times this year. I only co-drove with Thomas 3 events in 08. The question is, when are you going to nut up and go to Nationals instead of screwing around locally in a former nationally competitive car trying to beat John Baker

BTW since we're talking about completely random topics that fall under the "nobody's damn business but your own" category...shouldn't you be trying to cut back on cheeseburgers so you can win the "ditch the spare" contest this year?

Sorry, I thought this was a serious thread. I'll just enjoy the entertainment from now on.

I saw a Caymen yesterday, and see 1-4 Porsche's daily, but I work in Flower Mound so that may explain that.

Awww I didn't know you cared about me so much Cosmo!

I would have loved to have gone to Nationals this year but it just didn't work out, hopefully I'll be able to make it this year!

Formerly National Competitive is another issue I need to figure out how to resolve this season. (The car is just a very small portion of that issue )

I guess this means we will not be seeing a post soon on your pending nuptials.

I never really considered it until now, but I hardly ever see Caymans on the street.

I see Caymans on the tollway almost every day -- but I'll be honest I look for them because I *seriously* considered one when I was looking at the Evo. 4 door family car won out (at $15k less), but I love the Cayman.

I've seen 2-3 Lotus' on the tollway in the last few months (that's all, including older ones as well).

I've only seen 1 other Evo in the last couple weeks though :) (and I can count on one hand the number of Evo X's I've seen on the road [not at a meet] since I got my car in May).

I see alot more Caymans than Lotuses (sp?). On my way to work. I sometime think I would like a Cayman till I hear someone talk about the $250 oil change in their Pcar. I always get the new car bug in the off season also.

Whats is the differance between a Porsche and a Porcupine? (j/k)

One is a car and the other is an animal? I'm pretty sure that's the only difference...
