Sounds pretty cool! Looks like they have more coverage on Monday. http://www.speedtv.com/programs/scca-runoffs/
Why does the best stuff always come on when I'm at work? No DVR for me...boo hoo.![]()
Not sure if they're going to re-run this, but I DVR-ed some of the 2008 SCCA Runoffs on the Speed Channel. So far, the SSC race has been the most fun to watch. The Mazda 3 looks to be a strong contender, but I was surprised (well, maybe not) to see the old Civic Si (circa 2000 year model) duking it out with a new 3 - and it was a friggin dogfight. The little Chevy Cobalt also looked pretty decent out there (one got up on 2 wheels and almost flipped!). All in all, a fun race to watch - and only 18 laps!

From someone that was there.
Check out the S2000 race. That s me doing the lazy spin about lap 9. Started 10 (disqualified in qualifying for non legal wing) and finished 8th. I have in car video from the track. Don t know how to post though. The best race from track side to watch was the Spec Miata race.
The A sedans put on quite a show but finished under caution. And for formula 1 speed check out the D Sports cars. Motorcycle powered ground effects cars that were faster the the Mazda Atlantics.
If you ve never been to the Runoffs it s worth the trip to spectate. Did that for a lot years before I finally go to drive there. Next year will be at Road America.
