I've been storing TtT's socket for almost as long as he's had the car. I'd like to get it back to him before I loose it![]()
Yea I'd recommend checking them out. I've been looking for cheap timing belt/60K supplies for a while and the money that you save on just the two pulleys ($12 a piece as opposed to $60) mean that you can buy everything else at stealership prices and still save money. I will still be spending money where I think it needs to be though, like OEM valvecover gasket and not buying a ebay waterpump. I've been happy with the quality of other seemingly to cheap to be true things from them in the past.
Just looked and their waterpump is $50, if you know of a more trusted brand/vendor for simliar price I'd consider it. Also BTW none of the stuff on their site is remanufactured unless it explicitly says rebuilt in the title of the part, like their alternators. I'm not sure if you meant that brand name would make a difference in waterpumps or if you thought they were rebuilt at that price.

I'm free on Saturday, I'll come down.

I'd love help with the free burgers and beer but we'll be stuck in Plano most of Saturday.
I got your pm Daniel and answered it. If you are coming from the north you go south on 289 and turn left on CR106. The address is Celina but we are north of it.
Hey Hal....has that socket grown hair and gone through puberty yet?

Tim, do you think you will plan on doing it this weekend or holding of to do the timing belt at the same time? Either way let me know when you decide to do the TB if it's in the near future because I'd like some help in addition to just the enthusiast's manual.
Also if anyone knows of better place to get maybe a better brand name new waterpump than the one I posted, for around $50-60 then post it up because I'd like to order all the TB parts I need soon.

My thanks to Daniel for the help today. Differential, transmission, oil and filter, shift boots and stainless steel brake lines all done. Only problem was the "wings" on the drain plug on the bottom of the PWR radiator broke off as the plug was tight and the handle was made of cheap plastic.
Seems like this is a common occurence....

Anytime Tim, you have a sweet house! We need to have some more events out there, its nice and has plenty of room. Your car is sweet too, my first ride in a supercharged miata today.

I remember my first ride in a FI miata, I almost shat myself, but it wasn't due to the speed.
Sorry that we couldn't work something out where I could help Tim, but post again if you plan on doing the timing belt in the near future and I'll definitley be interested in that. I'd like to get mine done before Laguna.
I'm also still hoping Icepenguin will spill the beans on the more trusted brand waterpump he mentioned for around the same price as my unknown brand waterpump.

JT...I am coordinating with Rogue to do the tb/wp while I am gone for Spring Break. Perfect time as the car will not be needed for 9 days.
I plan on having a tech day at the house this spring.
