Thread: Last minute power steering problem

Default Last minute power steering problem

Well... wouldn't you know it. It looks like the hose coming out of the top of the p/s pump is leaking now (and it's puking pretty good). I assume this is the high-pressure hose that goes to the rack. So... couple of questions:

    A) Is this a readily available part (from, say, VatoZone)?
    B) If so, is this a bitch to replace?

O'Reilly can probably get the high pressure hose for ya in 24 hours. If it's the return hose, they can hook you up on the spot... (but the one on top is pressure hose). If you're really desperate to get it done today, I'm sure Iain could point you to a local shop that builds pressure hose... but it'll probably cost more than the $28 hose from o'reilly...

If you need help installing either, feel free to come join the "drip fluids in TC's driveway" party at my place tomorrow afternoon.

Motion Industries provdes all of our hydraulic hoses, but I don't know if they sell to the average consumer.

I think I have that hose from my 92. I installed a manual rack, so I don't need it. $10?

Sadly, the '99 hose wouldn't fit... otherwise, you might've had a deal!
