Good stuff here!
Anyone had experience with crossdrilled and slotted rotors purchased from a vender off of E Bay?

No benefit with slotted or cross-drilled rotors. Stick with solids...

Don't look...there's nothing down here for you!
Slotted does have a benefit in the rain, and not just standing water. They were the EBC slotted/dimpled and they worked pretty good for >2 years.
However, I don't think the cost/benefit is very great for the perpetually dry TX weather. That, and I can't remember the last time I autoX/HPDE'd in the rain.

There sure was on the Jeeps I used to own. My 97 Grand would warp rotors like clockwork every 30-35K. I put some Powerstop cross drilled rotors on it and they lasted > 120K with no warping.
That being said, There's no real benefit on a Miata. The rotors are engineered quite well. Stick with OEM or Brembo and you'll be fine.

Lightness? What's that? I drive a PRHT!
Thanks, I'll stay with OEM.

absolutely agree
Texas Driving Experience tried them on the vettes (got a sweet "sponsorship" deal) but they don't stand up as well as solids
buy OEM or Bembro solids
Bembros about $27 or so ea from either OReilly or Tire Rack
that's all I use right now
NAPA used to have made in America rotors for $14 or so, but they have switched to Chinese junk

OReilly's will give you a lifetime warranty. If they cannot turn them, free replacements. Too bad I could never take advantage of it.
Not true, I just recently got NAPA premium rotors that were made in Italy.
They still show them available.

Plus NAPA Roanoke is nearly walking distance for you, Bob.![]()
that's strange
when I called the Grapevine NAPA guy 6 months ago to order rotors, he cautioned me that they had changed to Chinese but sometimes they would still get USA ones
when I went to pick them up, Chinese so I refused to get them
their premium line too, not bottom line
