Awesome Congrats!![]()
I'm working for Traxxas in Plano now. I start Tuesday the 8th, and I'll be in tech support. I almost had a spot in marketing there, but I have no experience. The pay is a little better than I'm getting now, but there are better hours, better benifits, and opportunities to move up within the company. www.traxxas.com Now I just need a place to live. . .

Congrats!! Aren't you glad you went to Lubbuck for a couple of years?
Daughter #1 who graduated from Tech in May was offered a job in her field before she left Lubbock. Since then, she has saved up a little, a benefit of living at home with no expenses, and now wants to purchase a new vehicle. On the way to the game the other night we stopped at Grubbs Nissan to look at the Rogue and Murano. I have no idea why she wants an SUV instead of something sporty, but it's her money.
As we pulled into the lot I told her I felt obligated to give her a little fatherly advice, namely that the economy is shaky, she has only 3 months seniority with her company, and that she might want to carefully consider her plan to buy a new car and get tied into something like that so soon.
During the test drive, the sales rep (a woman) kept asking questions about where she went to school, what her degree was, where she worked etc... At first I thought she was just making small talk, so I asked her where she went to school. Turns out she has a degree in biology and chemistry, along with a masters in genetic engineering. Which made sense because she looked more like she should be looking through a microscope instead of leaning on fenders. She also told us that she makes 2K a month draw against commission, which she apparently never exceeds.
It was sad to see someone with that kind of knowledge and ability be stuck on a car lot, but she said she couldn't find anything else. It also drove home the point I had made earlier better than anything I could say or example I might give.
After we left there, daughter #1 decided maybe she might go with something used and less pricey.
My girlfriend loves her Rouge, but she wishes sometimes she had a smaller payment. Thanks for all the well wishes guys!
