I believe it is fuel pressure. You dont really want to run that into the cabin, if it is a mechanical gauge like that.

Interesting stuff on Pontiac here - http://www.pontiac.com/heritage/

My Grandfather (the one who owned the 'lac) always had a Grand Prix when I was a kid. He got one every model year like clockwork....

One of the most memorable cars my dad had when I was a kid was a '79 10AE Trans Am... with a 400 and a 4-speed, t-tops, and silver over light grey (almost silver) leather and the giant screaming chicken wrapped around a shaker hood.

Of course, at the other end of the spectrum, one of my college buddies suffered through two semesters of auto-x in an Iron-Duke equipped Grand-Am.

GMC covers the heavy-duty/industrial truck lines, which is a big segment. Delivery trucks, cab-on-body chassis for RV's/box trucks, etc. They re-badge the chevy consumer trucks because a lot of the guys that use the industrial vehicles are loyal to the name and it doesn't cost them much to do so, nor do they maintain a separate dealer network for them, since the big trucks have a dealer network already that serve a different market.

My first car was a 1968 Pontiac LeMans. I really don't miss it or have a burning desire to buy one for nostalgia purposes. Maybe if it had been a GTO I would feel different.

I had a '73 LeMans Sport Coupe at one time. Nice car until I hit a deer with it! Just like this one minus the louver's on the rear side windows.

No. A rebadged Camaro was called a Firebird.

Pontiac had a lot of firsts over the years. My thought has always been that Pontiac has always led the way with more firsts in the performance areas over the years
Does anybody remember that the 64 Pontiac GTO was the fastest production car from 0-60? 4.6 seconds. Beat the Ferrari. There was a lot of controversy about the road test but it stood for several years. Some claim the motor was not the 389 but in reality the larger 421 ci motor. Because of a GM Corporate ban on racing, this was felt to be the loophole around the corporate policy and still sell something that was performance.
So the GTO was also considered the first true muscle car when it was introduced in 64. Faster than the Cobra and the Ferrari that year.

My first NEW car was a 1971 Ventura II. Mine was blue, w/o the vinyl top, uninspiring 307 c.i.d. V8, AT, no power anything. I think I paid $3100 out the door.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.
