I guarantee that 99% of the people who attended bought their Miata because they are retired, it was cheap, and the wife thinks it's cute. But, to actually drive it? No - their blood pressure medicine can't keep up with that.
    WTF did you expect Princess??

Did you think it was going to be a couple hundred Miatamoto's AXing.

No but I expected them to shift out of first gear, or go past 3,000 rpms, that would have been nice.

Did you get paid? I expected to see a bunch of people drive their car on course for the first time, and get paid for not doing much all day. I did a little work, but not bad for a day's pay. I did not talk to anyone all day who was whining.

I got paid, and it was worth the money for sure.

It was just sad to see all these Miatas, many with modifications, being driven like Caprice Classics.

there were a bunch of good drivers too

people who brought their helmets with them and have used them regularly

the main thing was for the paying customers to have fun and I think all the workers helped accomplish that

even if they thought they were fast but it was less than exciting for those who are more accustomed to actually being fast

and yes, MSR was a hoot on Friday, thanks to Gary and to Apex

especially a hoot when the show and shiners arrived for their parade lap at lunch, an interesting group

I enjoyed working the TMS event. I just wish I would have gotten the chance to take my car on the oval (I did get to ride in the pace car a few laps!).
