Hopefully it won't keep rising. Brings back bad memories for me.![]()
Pool has over-flowed, water in the ditch next to the house is over a foot deep and rising. Not the worst I've seen, but it is not supposed to stop raining for a while.
Some crappy pics:

Water even with the top of the curb, it is now over the top
Water is over a foot deep and moving faster than I can walk. My house is on the left.

+1 here. April '07 lost lives here in Gainesville. Emergency channel on tv just came on about 5 mins ago, fire and police evacuating parts of town as I write this. Hopefully it's just to be safe after the '07 incident.
No pool here, but swimming is now available in my back yard...
Still there Doug? Daniel?

No pool here either. But, we do have a stock tank that is overflowing.
We are OK. Our house is at the bottom of a hill but a long way from any creeks. When we get hard rain we catch runoff from the hill. Today we have had water pile up behind the garage and run under the siding and plate in a couple of places. I don't think we will have any permanent damage, but some things will need to dry out. The house is a little higher, maybe an inch, so we have not had any water in the house.
I'm not sure what this rain has done to our gravel road. Maybe, not a good outcome.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Heard from a lady at lunch today that her son in Wichita Falls area got seven inches of rain in an hour today. I hope you guys are ok. That's some scary amounts of rainfall.
Some little town up here got 11.6 inches. I'm not sure how much we got here, but if you use the pool as a rain guage 5-6" is what we got.

I didn't realize the DFW area was getting that much rain. The central and south TX area could benefit from some of it, and we have been getting a decent amount within the last 2-3 weeks.
The south TX region really needs some rain, especially the coastal wildlife.

Surprisingly we've gotten almost nothing here... it rained for a half hour yesterday, then 2-3 time last night it rained for about 5 minutes. I was hoping for more. Grapevine Lake is getting low.

Hey, woke up and the new pool in the backyard is gone. Yay! News reports show 50% chance of rain Sunday. Wet Mineraling autox FTW! Actually sounds kinda fun...

About 4 inches of rain has fallen in the last 24hrs out here. Lake Lavon looks like it back up around full capacity.
That map is pretty accurate. My rain guage tops out at 8 inches and it was full this morning. I live between Celina and Gunter 1 mile from the Grayson county line.
