My cheap digital camera plus Iain's suggested BestBuy camera mount didn't work very well. To much bouncing around back and forth.

It was me... and I don't use the best buy mount much anymore either :)
I actually want a smaller camera now (have been jonesing for the go pro, but it's crappy battery life and inability to record more than 2 gigs at a time are killer for me).
So i'm very impressed with the micro center pos cam alen sold me. i would tell anyone that wants a cheap cam to get on. Added a 16gb card and it's 11 hours of 720 avi h.254.

Battery life is pretty crappy because you have to use lithium to get any real amount of time out of it but I have had it go for about an hour on one set of energizer lithium, which is all I require for a track cam. There is also a firmware update coming out that will allow use of 4gb cards which would be 1:52 of recording time.
