So Thursday I go down to the courthouse in Southlake to get my Miata registration renewed... in and out in 3 minutes. I head home and promptly forget about the new sticker, so it stays on my bedside table until yesterday.
My sister called me and wanted to go see a movie, so I thought "Hey, today is a good day to drive the Miata down there...". Grabbed the sticker, trotted out to my car, and removed the current inspection sticker with a razor blade.
I have no idea how I survive sometimes.

Not sure how many months were left on your current sticker but if you destroyed it possibly you could go back to where you had it inspected, take your inspection results sheet/receipt and destroyed sticker and talk them into giving you a replacement sticker? (hows that for one long run-on sentence)
Not sure if it would work but maybe worth a try.
