I had a great time at my first divisional!
It was a humbling experience, Matt Lucas put the smack down in Chris's 328i. He beat me by 7.5 seconds two days combined.
I have so much to improve as a driver than blame it on my under prep car.

It would be cool if we had a map with the sectors on it. Anyone?
Did you not hear the boo's and laughter when they announced his incredible lead at the trophy presentation? It was just too easy not to claim he had a remote control in the car.
When I finally got registered, it looked like I was charged for 3 entries. Even the email receipt looked like I was charged $130. I sent Vitek a note and he reassured me.
He didn't cheat me on the registration, and I don't believe he did on course, but it was funny.

Wow, car looks loose almost to the point of being undrivable especially coming out of transitions. Good job keeping it together. I don't recall it being like that when I drove it, is it just the surface at bus lot?
P.S. was Napoleon Dynamite riding with you on day 1? Sounded like he was pretty pissed about your run too![]()

Saturday it would step out 10-15 degrees or so, plant, and go. Easy to drive once I learned to anticipate it. Sunday it just wouldn't plant - it just kept coming around. We took out rear pressure and rear shock, which had little impact. In retrospect, I should have asked Ken if we could soften the rear bar (not sure if the car even has adjustable bars on it). That made it very difficult to put any power down, which made the car very slow on Sunday.
What changed? I dunno. It was warmer on Sunday, but not drastically.

I don't have any problem with Vitek - he's a good guy and he flat outdrove everyone this weekend. He won, and he deserved the win.
I find AXware to be a real PITA to use for registration. My comment earlier in this thread about having to create 14 cars in my virtual garage before AXware would accept one for registration this past weekend wasn't an exageration.

Well I had a good time at my first divisional. The level of competition was very high, and was awesome to watch.
I personally felt my performance Saturday was the worst driving I have done in some time. I never got comfortable with the course or myself and my slow times showed.
Sunday was certainly an improvement, but still nothing great. I was able to find a decent line, and was more comfortable in the constant slaloms. However, going back through the video it is obvious I need to figure out my new breaks, so i can take advantage of them. Learning not break to much when trimming speed or not to carry to much speed thinking they will be enough, will be like starting all over again.
Then through some of the more open turns I need to learn to carry more speed through the turn. To often I would brake to late and not carry momentum as I should, and then other times I would brake to soon and thus never be able to get as much speed through the turn.
All in all the event was great and the course was a good learning experience. I have never had so much slalom practice, and I feel far more comfortable with them then ever before.

I did not bother putting my day one runs up on the tube, but here is run 4 on day two. You guys can enjoy watching me go slow
Nice driving guys. Looks like a pretty awesome course. I wish I could have drove it. I should have made it out, even though I know that the ST-class EF Civics would have destroyed me by at least a few seconds.
