    Exclamation MWII Panoramic Poster

    Hi, folks.

Those of you who don't frequent the Miata.net forums may be unaware that I''ve produced huge panoramic photograph of all the cars assembled on the TMS oval for the group photo. It's a very different angle than the official poster, and without tooting my own horn too much, I reckon it's pretty damned cool!

It generated sufficient interest on that forum that I have decided to produce and sell a poster print to raise some money for the MWII charities which unfortunately didn't get a penny when the event failed to turn a profit.

So, I invite you to surf on over to http://www.snikte.net/mwii_poster.html to take a look, and place an order by the end of next week. I will be ordering the prints at that time, and any orders after that will incur extra costs.

Please also pass this information along to any friends who might not frequent this forum.

    Thanks in advance,
    Jon Etkins

Default Last chance at this price

Due to some technical difficulties, I did not get to submit the artwork to the lab yesterday as planned. I hope to be submitting it later today, so this is your last chance to place an order at the bulk-purchase price.

    Default Shipping this weekend

Update: I got the posters from the printer yesterday, and packaged them all up last night. Here's a crappy cellphone shot of the "work area".

I've spent all this evening doing battle with PayPal's stoopid Bulk Mailing system which refused to load all of your orders, so I've had to transcribe most of the mailing addresses by hand. If I get it working tonight, I'll get them to the post office tomorrow (Saturday), else it will be Monday. But either way, you all should receive them sometime next week. :)

I'll update here again once they've been mailed.

Thumbs up They're on their way

The posters were all mailed on Saturday. Those that ordered through PayPal (almost everyone) should have received an email with the USPS delivery confirmation number, and you should receive them this week.

In the end, I was able to save another couple of dollars per print due to the size of the order. I'm still waiting for the last couple of expenses to clear my PayPal account, but at this stage it looks like we raised a little over $500 for the charities.

Thanks again to everyone who ordered a print or generally supported the effort. In particular, thanks to Mike Preston for his work in transforming the raw composite image into a terrific poster.

    Cheers,
    Jon.
