    Unhappy Another Miata rear-ended

Well I guess it was my turn to get rear-ended. Happened last night on I-20 Westbound right at hwy 360. Truck in front of me stopped quickly, I stopped quickly, but the truck behind me didn't notice in time and he slammed into me, pushing me into the truck in front. So It's probably time to get MazdaSpeed bumpters and a skirt. What do ya'll think? Who has the MazdaSpeed hookup? My account has expired, and I haven't raced in over a year.

If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

yep, I'm fine. I saw him coming so I pushed up against the headrest. I had a headache last night, but no whiplash. Thank you Mazda for making such a fine seat with a nice headrest!

Glad that you are OK. The bad news is that the trucker behind you only responsible fixing your rear end! You are responsible for your front and the rear end of the tuck in front of you. I was in a 6 cars chain collision on I30 several years ago. I found this out the hard way. I was like you, able to stop in time. The pickup behind me, I guess he didn't even had breaks, pushed me into the SUV in front of me.

First off, glad you're okay. Secondly, not sure I concur with Gab's statement. I got sandwiched and the twit that hit me was held responsible for my car and the car in front of me that she pushed me into. Insurance rules aren't always hard and fast. Sometimes it's whoever screams loudest.

Yeah make sure the person in front reports that they only felt one hit not two.

    Thanks guys.

At the scene everyone was in agreement that I was stopped prior to being rear-ended. Hopefully no one's story will change when insurance calls them to verify the details.

I was rear ended (hit and run too) a week and a half ago...

My insurance company told me the guy I was pushed into would be covered by his insurance at no cost to him - and that my car, front and rear, would be covered under my uninsured motorist coverage.

It's still in the shop till Wednesday .

Getting the emblems front and rear shaved off though, ftw.

Smile Insurance said it was the other guys fault

Alright, I've finally got a determination that my accident was the other guys fault and they are going to fix my car. So far, estimates are in the $6300 range.
