Thread: Hello!

    Default Hello!

    Hi, everyone!

I finally took the time to sign up. Been a Miata owner for about a year now, but only had a chance to drive it a few times before the transmission gave out. It's been in the shop during the wonderful spring and summer days, and now that it's finally out it's too cold to drive it with the top down.

Some of you know who I am from the local autocrosses. I drove a black Celica in STS for 3 years, and this year I ran my 1st gen. RX-7 in SM2. I know a few guys here, too, so "hello" to you all!

    Welcome to the board, Henry!

I didn't know you had a Miata as well. What year?

    1990, red, 92K miles.

Sold to me by a guy who couldn't own it or drive it anymore, and practically gave it away. A new top and some maintenance later, it's road-worthy! Needs paint, though. It's starting to turn pink.

Best acquisition of the year for me. If I knew I was going to get a Miata, I probably would have never built up the RX-7.

Welcome Henry!! If your Miata turns all pink I bet you could slap a Mary Kay sticker on it for some advertising bling bling

A good wax job could bring back the red. A red 1990 doesn't have clear coat paint. Just get rid of the top layer of dead paint.

    Oh yeah, WELCOME!

Bah, sell the RX7 and build up the Miata for STS2. Not only will it be cheaper and more compeititve, it'll be more fun, too.

Besides, the Miata doesn't have a motor that goes "Hummm.... BOOM!" :P
