Cool Getting an idea right now

I've been thinking about holding a tech day where a few people can come and play (don't be a perv MadMerv!!!) with Torrent (the name of my miata) where I will be supplying burgers, chicken, and beer, and maybe a couple of screwdrivers.. lol my parents hardly have any tools or anything like that so I can't do much there, I think the most I'll be asking to come is 5 people as there won't be much that can be done since I haven't bought parts or anything (consider this Tech Day 1: making the list), and I just want to know who would be willing to come and what kind of beer you like. Keep in mind I'm just getting an idea of who would come.

That said, I don't think you want me, I don't know enough!

Free beer? No shit? You sure about that?

I'll come and play if I can make it.

You should've come out to the party I posted for Saturday night. It was free beer, they had 3 kegs going at all times and there were maybe 150 people there. The band was great, the Red Barn had specials on the bbq and the ribs. No cover, no minimum, no purchase necessary...for all the complaining about how anyplace but Kellers is just too expensive, it just can't get any free-er than this gig was.

It sure sounded like a good time, but I already had a free ride to go see the Fort Worth Cats on Saturday night.

Besides the major stuff posted previously, (oil pan, filter, radiator, dash center, broken window,) what minor stuff needs done?

Only two of those sound truly bothersome (pan & dash). The others would be fairly quick work, assuming parts are readily available.

They had 3 kegs cause I wasn't there. I'm in Indy or woulda been there to float one. The Ft. Worth Cats a roller derby team? As for thread topic you might wanna host it where tools are available. Easier to bring beer and burgers to the garage than the other way around.

So this is a tech day just to....

    sit down and talk?

to figure out what to do to the car?

but not actually doing any work or using tools?

    Am I correct?

    Why you so inquisitive?

Have you had bad tech day experiences in your youth??
