I wonder if the EGR tube and intake manifold in cArAzzIE's 10AE need cleaning. I gained a few mpg when I cleaned mine.

If you guys are still getting 17mpg on the track, you're not driving fast enough.

22.8 average mpg... in my 6 cylinder Cayman with my foot in it. Track MPG? 9 and change. Is that fast enough alt?

I average between 24-27 on most tanks in Dallas highway traffic. I have gotten between 27-29(once even 32) mpg on long trips on open highway. Mine is a stock MSM turbo.

Worth a shot. I've noticed my 10AE gets lower mileage than either NA 1.6 or the 1.8.

I cleaned it last summer. I checked her tire pressure and all four were low; one at 24 lbs. so I put air in 'em at 30 all around.

30psi seems kind of high, but mpg should be good. I'm running around 28psi, and notice a big loss of traction from 26psi on Yoko Avids at that pressure. If the weather gets questionable while I am at work, I'll drop the pressure back down to 26psi and refill the tires when I get home.
