    Default Mmmm... beefy

My local big brown Mazdaspeed truck came by (again ) today. Look what he brought me this time:

Hopefully these mounts won't tear out!

On a side note, at $175 a pair, they damn well better last for awhile.

    Those are the swaybar mounts...

Motor mounts have big chunks of rubber in them...

Altain talked about them being shot over here

Titus and CM are right - they're replacement front swaybar mounts. And they look like the last pair I'll ever need.

No kidding! If the stock pieces were that large you'd never have to replace them!

Thanks for sharing the pics. Now I could see a great tech article for dwfmiata.com or Miata.net/garage How to install MazdaComp Sway bar mounts. Just think of it as practicing your engineering documentation skills. I am sure dfwmiata will pay double what they pay to other authors.

Hey Altiain how do you put those in the car. Do they need to be welded in or is it a nut and bolt installation???

Erm... you'll have to ask Thorage327 for the tech article, since he'll be installing them. I don't have the tools to cut what's left of the old mounts off of the frame.

Besides, double of nothing still ain't gonna pay the rent. :P

According to Mazdacomp, the replacement mounts are just bolt-in. However, the old OEM mounts are welded in, so they have to be cut off.

If you didnt' drink so much, you wouldn't wear out your sway mounts, because you wouldn't be swaying so much
