Default I'm gonna be a daddy!

    Well, it’s official… I’m going to be a daddy!!!!

Melissa and I had our second sonogram appointment yesterday afternoon. We are now ten weeks along, and the doc says everything looks healthy. We heard the heartbeat, and got to see the baby wriggling around in the sonogram.

I’m so excited! It has taken us a long time to get to this point and we’ve suffered a couple of setbacks along the way, which is why we waited to let everyone know. We’ve now officially been moved out of the “high risk” category, and the expected due date is around the end of April!

What a blessing, and I know it has been a rocky road. Just try to remember that weird clothes and hair styles are passing fads - oh wait

Congrats. It's going to change your life. Don't let the childless people tell you anything negative. I wouldn't change it for anything. Nothing like coming home from a long days work to "Daddy! You're home!" Best feeling in the world.

Hey that's great news. Congrats to you both -- I can certainly relate to the challenges of getting to this point. Oh and start preparing to have no "me time" for the next few years!

Date nights are a very rare occurrence for us. We used to love going to see these things called "movies". Forget watching a DVD rental or a 30 minute show for that matter uninterrupted as well.

Still they're worth it. (most of the time)
