What he said...life as you know it is history - and not in a bad way.

Take the time to enjoy every minute of it, before you know it you'll be sending the "baby" off to college.

I can't believe how caught up I got in all Jadyn's "firsts" and now she is going to celebrate her first birthday! Nothing matches little arms reaching out for you when you come home.

Laps around a track come close - but that euphoria doesn't happen daily.

OH - this is VERY IMPORTANT: Don't forget to get her a "push present"

If you don't know what that is, google it and bring it up before she does

Congratulations to you two. Children are a great blessing.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Default Fantastic... you are in for a treat!

    Congratulations!

I'll echo Black Roadster's comment about coming home to you child's (children's) warm welcome. Every night when I tuck my 11 year old daughter in her bed, she'll ask me "Daddy, is tomorrow going to be a late night for you at the office?" Makes me sad (because I know I'm spending too much time away from home) and very happy at the same time, as I know she just wants to spend time with her old dad!

I learned one thing from that stupid Jim Carey movie called "The Yes Man"... I try to say "yes" to my kids as often as I can.
Daddy, will you read me a story?
    Yes.

Daddy, can we play a game of checkers?
    Yes.

Daddy, can we go for a bike ride?
    Yes.
I get so wrapped up in my life -- work, chores around the house, "play-time" like racing or watching college football, etc. -- that I can easily fall into the "trap" of not giving my kids the attention they deserve. So if they ask me for my time, I do my very best to say "yes", even if it seems inconvenient to me at the time. Too soon they'll have grown up and be gone...

    Again, congratulations!

LOL at all the slackers stories about the kids!

Wait til those wonderful kids are teenagers.... Darn kids!

None of that can beat coming home to a cat licking its ass. Ahhh, it's the little things in life.

When it stops for half a second to look up and make sure you are going to feed it, then goes right back to it...

Thanks again for all the well wishes, guys. We're really excited, and I know it's going to be a big life change. I'm looking forward to it.

I'd say coming home to a dog licking you in the face right after he'd been licking his bawlz might be a close tie.

    Congradulations again, Iain.
