so ... you bought that MS engine w 25 miles from Plano?
Planning on putting '05 MSM Engine and Tranny in my 2000 LS, but I'm lacking an ECU. From my research, I've learned that I have to have an ECU, immobilizer, and lock w/ key all from the same donor car; otherwise, my beautiful new engine will not run. If you have these item, know where I can find them, or just have some good advice for the swap please let me know.

msm ecus suck, i would look for a stand alone option
I'd give the parts group a call. I have seen quite a few MSM parts on their webpage.

I'd love to put in a Flyin Miata Hydra stand alone unit, but unfortunately budget doesn't allow. . . .thanks Radio-Active for the tip. They have one listed on their website, so I'll give them a call today.
It is a very tempting seducting power option! Acutally, I had to take a cold shower to stop myslef from replying to that ad.! After cooling down, I decided that is not my TCB way to get more power. Congrag. that that sweet setup goes to a good home! Keep us posted as you do your install.
I wonder if that engine comes from those Miata that were in the ship that tipped over in the ocean a couple yers ago?!

The stock MSM ECU is not horrible, but it is not good, either. I have a Forge BoV that is a drop-in replacement for the stock if you are interested, as the stock leaks. I got it from another member here for a different project, but it does not look like that project will need it.
As for the standalone, I have a complete Hydra 2.6 + Injectors I need to freaking install... Car has been sitting for 2 weeks now due to work and health!
Missing my Miata...
