I've been looking for months - you'll see some real clapped out cars come up on craigslist in that price range.

I hope you stumble across something in your price range. Its amazing what some people think high mileage Miatas are worth these days.

I've been looking for a sub $2000 '90-'93 but not I'm not willing to pay above KBB value. I even have a broker looking, but nothing that fits my requirements has popped up yet.

2K Miata It will be very hard to find one for less than $2000. Even at dealer auctions clean ones go for more than $2000. Watch Craiglist and be ready to buy as a good deal will not last more then few hours.

BR, so it is totaled?! It is so sad to see that car being totaled after you have spent so much time and $$$ on it. Are you going to moving the parts over the new car?

Even crappy ones go for close to that. I have seen about 10 NAs go through auction and I would not have bought them for half the price. Best deals now are NBs.

I will have a 1991 with 150K miles that needs some body work and paint work but runs good for 1250.

Why does it have to be a 1.8? Maan1986's seems like the best bang for the buck, most maintenance has been done on it.

Yeah, seems like a good deal although I haven't seen it in person. If his price were tad bit lower it would be in my garage...err um parked outside.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but I would not try fixing that car. I've been there and done that and I would never do it again and mine was not damaged near as bad as yours. While I was still able to reuse all the factory sheet metal I had to replace the drivers side frame rail as it was bent to the point it could not be straightend on a frame machine. Trust me on this and save yourself a lot of headaches and $$.

There sure aren't many 1.8 NAs for sale right now. There is nothing on craigslist that meets your criteria. I hope you find something soon.

Thanks for the advice Justin. I agree with you. If I had major frame damage I'd be looking to swap my parts to another chassis. However I am "lucky" because he actually rolled over my car. There appears to be no frame damage or very minor if any. Rogue checked it out and said it is repairable. We will know more once he digs into it but so far it looks to be all sheet metal.

You got that right... I've been lurking on CL for the last couple months and man it's slim pickins... Either they are all dolled up with a blower and asking $8500 or they're literally in a field with 2 foot tall grass all around... WTF! Park it on a driveway and wash it for cryin' out loud!

I'm prepping my gf's 94 Miata for sale. It's been barely driven the past year.

    - 130k'ish miles
    - Black w/ black hard top.
    - Leather
    - Sony CD Player
    - Hardtop with defogger
    - AT was rebuilt last year (very few miles put on it since)
    - E-Code headlights w/ Hella bulbs
    - Replaced CAS last year as well.
    - Few dents that I'm planning on fixing

    AJ can vouch.
