ich harddog bar is acceptable for track play but not competition?

went with an ace bar and had them add a harness bar. I discussed on the phone that they can custom make the rollbar and harness bar i wanted fit with the glass window, went over measurements and everything. they were very helpful. good business.

That's a good point. Hard Dog will custom make a bar for you if you want, and the price is very reasonable. Several years ago, 71dsp had them custom build a bar for his wife's '99 Miata. It was a double diagonal Sport made with Hard Core diameter tubing and a custom fabricated 3-bend harness bar that attached to the main hoop uprights on both sides. They also agreed to ship it unfinished so that he could get it powdercoated locally.

I think one of the other members on this board (Adam?) ended up with that bar, but I have no idea where it is now.

I chose mine because it was less hacking away at red carpet, etc. Plus it was cheap.
