What are you going to do with the Met's engine? Make a leaf blower out of it?
No.The engine and transmission in it is not original. I had heard that the Met shares engine and transmission mounting points with several MGs, so I sent some pictures off to an MG guy I know from another board. He said that it looked to him like it was a Midget or Spitfire 1500 engine with a Weber side draft carb. Once it is out and cleaned up, I hope to be able to find some identifying marks. If I can clearly identify it, I should be able to sell it.
That will leave a hole. What will fit in there?
Hopefully I can make the '96 Miata engine I have fit.
I'm out, I promised a guy I would go see him in concert tomorrow at 2:00.

Not sure if I will actually get the engine out today, but I will at least remove all of the wire and hose connections between the car and engine.
