Don't you have a open face helmet that's already up to snuff?Originally Posted by sammm

My memory must be getting bad... I always thought you had an open face helmet!
Although, you can't beat that $79 deal! Thanks again, altiain!
That would be me, I just checked mine it's a M95! So looks like I am good to go!Originally Posted by Treibenschnell

I'm interested in how you're all sizing them...
I have a size 8 noggin (most of my lids are custom ordered... most stores won't carry anything bigger than a 7-5/. My HJC helmet is a XXL... ER and SCCA loaner helmets that I've used (also HJC) are XL...
So, in other words, there is no real way to figure out what size you may be unless you go out and try them on - by brand, by size, by style. I'll be doing that before my birthday so that I can figure out what size BELL helmet to purchase.
I wish it were easier...
I found my from racing some indoor karts... kept trying on helmets 'till I found one that fit... XL...

Lightness? What's that? I drive a PRHT!
Are the Bells carried by most cycle shops? If not, where can I go to try them on?
Since I own a Bell, I am just ordering the same size as my M2.I'm interested in how you're all sizing them...
I got a new one for Christmas this year...it's an M2000 (since my '95 will be expiring at the end of this year) (mine's the X680 in silver):

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...'Wow! What a ride!'
my last helmet was a KCB, it was ok but I owned a BELL tourstar 2 that saved my life once,... I am sold on BELL products.
The helmet I buy will be a BELL and in addition will be a full face helmet since I have no airbags, and if I had not been wearing a fullface in that near fatal wreck it would have torn off my lower jaw...so says the DR in the emergency room.

Has anyone else ordered one of these helmets? I got mine yesterday, and was expecting a Bell helmet. It turns out to be a Rhodia, whatever the hell that is!Originally Posted by altiain

Interesting.... I was about to order, but then I noticed that there was no mention of a Tourlite model on Bell's website.Originally Posted by sammm
I ended up deciding to borrow a friends full face helmet to wear at MSR.
When you are un-sure what to do, it is always nice to be in a position to put off the decision!

I just called Bell about this. They said Rodia makes some of the Bell helmets, and they are basically the same. Same shell, different liner and vents. I could either exchange the Rodia and spend $20 more for the Bell SC, or keep the Rodia and get a $10 credit. Guess what choice I made? :POriginally Posted by sammm
I'll be scratching my head over that puzzler for weeks, sammm.
How much does it weigh?? Hows the quality?? Im seriousely considering one of these as a cheap, somewhat nice autocross helmet, untill I have the cash/need for a better one.Originally Posted by sammm

It's fairly light (don't know exactly how much it weighs) and well padded. 2 small round vents on the back side. For the money and what it will be used for, it's hard to go wrong IMHO.Originally Posted by Jiggerachi
I ordered one and had to send it back. I have a gigantic head, though (size 8 ). It was wide enough, but not long enough. An XL. That was the last experience I need with ordering helmets over the Internet. Now that that one is returned, I will be buying from a local shop so I can try the thing on.
