It is the same people who don't respect the flag or talk during the National anthem.

On of the guys in my local radio club was a navy radioman at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7th. I forgot what ship he was on, but I am pretty sure it was not one of the battleships.

He use to be able to send and receive Morse Code at a little over 50 words per minute. That absolutely boggles my mind. I really struggled with 13 wpm to past my general test.

    Default More information

Bill was a 20 year old radioman on the USS Aylwin (DD-355). He was in the half of the crew not on shore leave. He was just finishing a shower and shave when the attack began. He then headed for the weather deck in his skivvies.

The Aylwin was decommissioned in 1945, Bill is still going strong.

Signed my first reenlistment at 0715 on 03NOV2003 on the USS Arizona Memorial.

I still have the flag flown over it.

Yup, I waved but I'm not sure if you saw me. The MSM is a little bit of a handful when it is cold and wet outside.

HAHA you should have seen me trying to get from Weatherford to Mineral Wells in the Ion Redline on Thursday lol. No traction on those summer tires. It was hair to say the least. With the traffic snarl it took me 3 hours to get from Wford to home.
